Elizabeth Hailani Haupu Our Great Grandmother
Elizabeth Hailani Haupu was born on September 15, 1890 @ Kaupo Maui, Hawaii. Elizabeth was the eldest of the six known keiki, she was married to our Great Grandfather Bernard Palenapa Hoopii. Elizabeth passed away in August of 1974, she was 83 years old, her memorial is at Wailuku Maui, Hawaii.
Josephine Kalanialii Kaniho Haupu. Josephine was born April 16, 1892 in Kaupo Maui, Hawaii. She married Andrew Kaawa and they settled in Nanakuli Homestead on Oahu. Josephine passed away on May 13, 1950 her memorial is @ Nanakuli Cemetary Oahu, Hawaii.
Maxine Haupu Pio New information At one time Haupu Pio lived across the street from the Hana Ranch Store in what is now pasture land. Later may relocated to Nanakuli homestead on Oahu. He may have been hanai'd by the Kepio Kahaleuhi & family. Kaawa(k), Namahana(w), Poni(?), Halepaohao(k) & Kahaleuahi(w) were some of Kepio's children. Haupu Pio was cared for by Kupuna Elias Kanuha before he passed away.
Louis Haupu Kanuha New information Born January 27, 1901 - passed away March 24, 1954. Louis was hanai'd by the John Noa Kanuha & family, John Noa Kanuha was an uncle of Josephine Kaaiakala. According to Kupuna Wahine & Uncle Paki Kahuila, the Kanuha's lived in an area of Kaupo, called Naopu'u (Bellys).

Peter Haupu Peter was married to Helen Kamila Hoopii, a cousin of our Great Grandfather Bernard Palenapa Hoopii.

Haupu Kahele aka David Paul Haupu liilii Born in the year 1870, his Parents were Haupu & Kahele. He and Kaaiakala had 5 keiki, Elizabeth, Josephine, Haupu Pio, Kanuha & Peter. Later may have remarried a Kamaka.
Kaaiakala Makaole aka Josephine Kaaikala Born in the year 1873 @ Kaupo Maui, her parents were Kaaiakala & Makaole. During the early 1900's lived with Bernard & Elizabeth Hoopii. She contracted Leprosy and was transfered to Kalaupapa, where she passed away on March 21, 1921.
